About the local area
Maldon is a town and civil parish on the Blackwater estuary.
Maldon is famous for Maldon Salt. A four generation company and The Hythe Quay, home to many of the remaining Thames Barges.
Maldon offers a lovely high street with many shops including pubs and restaurant.
Within a few minute’s walk is the promenade park. This was opened in 1895. The promenade offers wonderful views of the Blackwater, great walking trails and attractions like the petting zoo, skatepark and splash park along with coffee shops, food stalls and water front pubs and restaurants.
